Tell us about your family.

I am the youngest of five siblings, three brothers and one older sister. I also have five other adopted brothers and sisters, two and three respectively. We are a large Catholic family and we all get along really well!

Where are you from, and what is your home parish?

I am from LaPorte, IN and my home parish is St. Patrick’s in Chesterton.

What is it that draws you to the possibility of priesthood?

The life of Service directed at the heart of Christ. The idea that I feel called to take one step further and follow Christ more closely just like his apostles.

Who are some of your role models?

Some of the saints that inspire me are Maximilian Kolbe, John Paul II, and Damian of Molokai, my confirmation saint. Their examples of sacrifice and teaching are how I want to serve Christ. To preach the Word and serve my neighbor.

What is your favorite Scripture passage?

Recently, I found Luke 15:20 in the parable of the Prodigal Son to be my favorite: “So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” The fact that God will always wait for us to return to him is so beautiful and something that anyone can treasure in their heart.
